Mbali Madikwa was born and raised in the warmest place to be in South Africa and that is the city of Durban after completing her matric she studied Credit Management & Accounting while doing Speech & Drama part time at the Durban University Of Technology. But her passion and love for Arts and Drama was more stronger. At DUT she landed lead roles in plays like “Away From Home “My Time To Shine”and other leads in dancing perfomances. All performed at the Grahamstown Standard Bank Arts Festivals and Durban Playhouse Theatre.
She then joined one of the fastest growing youth radio station called Durban Youth Radio. Where she worked as a news-anchor,Current Affairs Presenter ,Producer, and a Voice Artist. Mbali has made among other articles in the front page of Isolezwe, Sowetan,Ilanga all national newspapers which has earned her enormous respect in the Entertainment Industry.
Mbali then moved to Johannesburg where she works for SABC as a TV producer for Rights & Recourse show presented by the legendary Dumile Mateza. She has also worked as a producer for Prime Time News @8 and Your World, Oscar Pistorious Trial and Radovan Krejcir Trial Highlights. In 2015 Mbali was recognised as a “Best Broadcast Finalist “ at the Brandhouse Media Awards.
She is also a member of Thespians Actors Agency where she has done voice overs for big brands like Wimpy, Vodacom,IEC etc. Mbali is former member of Lee Models where she has done modeling and advertising for brands like Ponds, Sunsilk,Sport Scene,Edgars etc. She has also done fashion shows for big events like Vodacom Durban July and Capetown Fashion Week. She is also a proud Road Safety Ambassador, Afrolucious Designs & DPA Studios Ambassador. Mbali then started her own Public Relations & Media company called Flower Power Media where she has done PR & Brand Endorsements for various agencies of the Department of Transport, DJ Ganyani’s Annual Birthday and The Link Up Event. She is currently studying Marketing Communications at the University of Johannesburg.
